Construction Management

Our wealth of experience on construction projects in a variety of different markets has enabled Dick Corporation to become an effective construction manager. Serving clients on a “for fee” basis, we provide our expertise in areas such as project design review, preparation of estimates and schedules, value engineering, project management, document control, cost control, inspection, and materials testing as needed on projects ranging up to several hundred million dollars in construction value.

Design-Build

Combining the roles of designer and constructor, our experience and solid relationships within the industry have enabled Dick Corporation to embrace the design-build contract format and successfully complete a number of projects for both public and private clients using the format. EPC

Dick Corporation has successfully served as EPC (engineer / procure / construct) contractor on a number of projects in the power and industrial sectors. Assuming greater responsibility on a project, including the design, engineering, and construction components, allows us to coordinate all aspects of the project and successfully complete even the most complex projects while maintaining budget and schedule.

Commissioning

Dick Corporation’s Construction Management Division has provided Commissioning Services to clients for over 20 years. Dick Corporation has extensive experience in the construction, construction management, and commissioning of buildings and process equipment. Recent commissioning efforts include services to the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, the Allegheny County Airport Authority on the South Matrix in-line Explosive Detection System baggage screening project at the Pittsburgh International Airport and to the Washington County Authority for conversion of the former county jail into a new family courts building. Of special note is the fact that Dick Corporation, as a Contractor or Commission Agent, has worked on over 2,000,000 square feet of LEED certified projects.
