Building for Our Future
Dick Corporation gives college students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of an actual construction project or in the corporate office environment. Students are paired with a mentor who gives daily direction and support. Depending on the assignment, students will be exposed to estimating, project management, project operations, project accounting or field supervision. This close interaction between student and mentor and the chance to get actual experience give interns a real sense of the responsibilities, challenges and opportunities for career development in the construction industry.

Dick Corporation staff attends college recruiting fairs throughout the year to meet potential candidates for co-op and summer employment opportunities. Over the past several years, we have had students from schools such as Penn State, Pitt and West Virginia participating as interns/co-ops. Approximately 95 percent of our co-ops and interns continue full-time with Dick Corporation after completing their degrees.
